Pozzolanic materials consist essentially of reactive silicon dioxide (SiO2) and aluminum oxide (Al2O3). In the presence of moisture, finely ground zeolite reacts chemically with calcium hydroxide released by the hydration of Portland cement to form additional calcium silicate hydrates (C-S-H).
Replacing 10% to 20% of ordinary Portland cement with Maruti micronized Zeolite significantly enhances concrete density, reduces permeability, and dramatically mitigates the destructive Alkali-Silica Reaction (ASR).
The natural crystalline water encapsulated in zeolite is gradually released as micro-steam when added to hot bitumen, creating a foaming effect that improves workability at reduced temperatures (by 20°C to 30°C).
Zeolite is an exceptional functional additive for interior paints and wall coatings. It actively absorbs indoor pollutants such as formaldehyde, tobacco smoke, frying odors, and dampness.
